For those who own cats, you know you don't own them. They own you. People typically say that about all of their pets, but cats might be an extreme in this case. Some say that once cat owners clean up the litter box, there is something in the . . . litter that affects the owner's brain! Eventually, the owner will become more and more infatuated with the cat. It also changes the personality between men and women! Men tend to become jealous and suspicious more easily while women become more affectionate.
Oxford scientists have found out that humans can be infected by brain parasites called Toxoplasma. So far the infection is not harmful, but pregnant women are advised to not clean kitty litter because their immune systems are weak at that state and are therefore, susceptible to uncontrollable growth of the parasite. Individuals with AIDS are also advised to stay clear away from the kitty box.
This film has nothing to do with Toxoplasma, but it does have to do with the persuassive behavior of cats on their owners. Perhaps they are more aware of their control over us than they let on . . .
